HMO LICENSING
An HMO (House in Multiple Occupancy or House of Multiple Occupation) licence is required by landlords/owners of properties with 5+ unrelated tenants, regardless of the number of storeys. Property licence applications must be completed as per the Housing Act 2004, making the application process for both HMOs and privately rented properties (where applicable) detailed and time consuming as you must have a separate licence for each HMO you run. A member of our team will visit your property to gather all of the necessary information, ensuring the house is suitable for the number of occupants (this depends on its size and facilities), and will complete your licensing application correctly, ensuring you don’t take on any undue liability as licence holder. This service is available for all types of property licensing.
